⚡️ Neural DSP Just Ended The Capture Debate
Neural DSP just rolled out one of the biggest updates in their history: CorOS 3.3.0 (for Quad Cortex) and NanOS 2.2.0(for Nano Cortex).
They released Neural Capture Version 2, which is an entirely new, cloud-trained capture platform.
V2 Captures are processed in the cloud for higher resolution and dynamic accuracy.
669 new V2 captures (including an actual Dumble Overdrive Special model) dropped instantly to the Cloud.
New Post Effects were added, including a dedicated Tremolo block.
Workflow fixes include auto-sum to mono (perfect for single-cable gigs) and expression pedal fixes.

→ Seymour Duncan finally unleashed the Machete. The Dino Cazares Machete Signature Humbucker is officially available. It’s an active-style pickup in a passive mount—which is perfect for players who love the aggression of actives but hate switching batteries. → The Amp Wars have a new champion. A major end-of-year sales report confirmed that modelers and profilers out-sold traditional tube amps in 2025. This isn't a trend anymore; it's the new reality for recording and touring metal guitarists.
→ Fender/EVH get into the digital arms race. The flagship Tone Master Pro modeler got a massive firmware update, adding its first-ever polyphonic synth tones. Translation: Your prog-metal song intros just got a lot weirder.And because EVH loves stacking experiments, they're also rolling out a new digital EVH 5150III combo—bringing the high-gain god into the modeling world.
→ Tosin Abasi’s next move is coming for your DAW. Tosin Abasi (Animals As Leaders) has teased that the "next evolution" of Abasi Concepts will include plugins and amplifiers. Big picture: You can stop trying to reverse-engineer his tone. He’s about to sell it to you.
For Those About To Doom…
→ Crazy Tube Circuits dropped a stoner/doom weapon. The ORAMA Dual Drive & Fuzz Pedal is here. It’s explicitly billed as an "Amp-in-a-Box for Stoner & Doom," designed to deliver that gritty, high-voltage Orange OR120 tone. This officially kicked off the first real "AI-powered holiday shopping season" for sludge addicts.
→ EQD and Sunn O))) made things hyper-exclusive. The limited-edition Sunn O))) HalfLife Fer pedala compact version of the genre-defining Life Pedal distortion/fuzz, sold out in under two hours. TLDR: If you wanted it, the scalpers already bought it.
